Allie's Fearless Spirit Story

Allie had to move to a new middle school last year 🏫➡️📦. It was a rough transition 😔. She had to try to make new friends in a school where everyone had grown up together 👩‍👩‍👧‍👦🤝. She felt excluded and alone 💔. She was bullied by someone in her class all year 🗣️➡️😢. She has come home crying on so many occasions 😭🏠.

🦈 Allie loves sharks 🌊🦈. So, we did her photoshoot at the Virginia Aquarium 🏛️🐠. It was amazing ✨. We spent the most time in the shark tank, of course 🦈❤️.

📣 What Allie’s Mom had to say about the experience:
“I have seen Allie’s confidence grow since being in the program 🌟💪. She now sees her inner beauty 💖 as well as her outer beauty ✨.

She has learned that it isn’t just her that has gone through bullying 😔—many girls do at any given age 👭—and that it is never their fault ❌💔.

I hope she takes this amazing experience all in 🌈📖 and remembers this as she grows older 🌱✨.

The previous year, she barely posted anything about herself on social media 📱❌, but Fearless Spirit has helped her realize: Who cares what people think? 💃💪.”

WHAT IS FEARLESS SPIRIT?

The Fearless Spirit Project was created by Casey Scalf at Storybook Studios. The program is for middle school girls that are struggling from self-confidence, bullying and anxiety issues. Many girls start to struggle with their self-confidence when they reach middle school. This is when girls start to be mean and bully other girls. A once out-going child, was now shy, sad, guarded and kept to themselves most of the time. Parents can only do so much.

Parents can tell them, until they’re blue in the face, how beautiful and special they are, but teens need something more." Having self-confidence at this time in their life is vital for building a strong person, that will believe in themselves and succeed at their life goals.

This is a totally different approach to help teens. Applicants are selected to "Model" for Storybook Studios. This is NOT based on looks. They get to participate in 8 monthly fun and artistic group sessions. By seeing beautiful images of themselves, over and over, for 8 months, they start to see how beautiful they are and how cool it is to be unique and stand out from the crowd....and to have a Fearless Spirit!
