Aerial Performance from a Helicopter?
Victoria's Senior Session
Disclaimer 1: The helicopter did NOT have the propellers going. (You know you're good at photoshop when you get investigated by a branch of the military for looking like the propellers were going while she was on the helicopter. Seriously?! I would never endanger any of my clients.

Disclaimer 3: This session was photographed before COVID.
Victoria is an aerial artist. Aerial art is a type of performance in which an artist performs aerial acrobatics while hanging from fabric silks, hand loop or Lyra (aerial hoop). Victoria is a very talented performer and she even has her own rig. When I found out that we would have access to a helicopter, I think I squealed with excitement.
Sadly, I had to remove the videos of the helicopter. The unnamed branch of the military didn't want to seem like they were endorsing a business.
We started with the aerial hoop hanging from the rescue hook on the helicopter. It was SO windy that day. The strength of the wind made it hard to keep the dress under control. We kept having to run for shelter whenever a helicopter was flying in. Unfortunately, the direction of the wind was going the opposite of what I wanted but I didn't have the option to put Victoria on the other side of the helicopter. Her family put together her rig for the final look. She performed with her silks and hoop. Absolutely mesmerizing to watch.
